A beat as smooth and synthetic as, well, Nicki.

I'll just put this here.

3.  Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni**as in Paris
Yes, they deserve two in the top five.

2. M83 - Midnight City
Finally, a saxophone solo that rivals the one in Eddie Money's 'Take Me Home Tonight'.

1. Bon Iver - Calgary
What's ridiculous is they are BETTER than this live.

And album of the year - Bon Iver.

'Round and Round' Gets Song of the Year

Pitchfork.com named the ultra-chillwave track 'Round and Round' by Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti the Song of the Year for 2010. Now, don't get me wrong, the song is hypnotically catchy, but there were some great efforts out there from many artists that don't dress like bejeweled cell phone covers. It may be that I'm getting old when almost any band's attempt at uniqueness comes off as silly and trite. Listen and decide for yourself. Is this the best song of the year? And also, isn't the lead singer channeling Kurt Cobain a bit too much?
